Pilot Certificate
From Pilots Almanac
(Redirected from Certificate)
A pilot certificate, known in the vernacular as a pilot license, is the document provided by the FAA that authorizes a pilot to fly specific category/class aircraft. Specific ratings may be noted on the pilot certificate. With the exceptions of a flight instructor certificate which is valid for two years and the student pilot certificate, a pilot certificate is valid for as long as the pilot maintains his/her legal flying status. That is, there is no specific time period defined for its validity.
